For over four years, Ashville Athletics has been updating our audience with the latest news on Ashville High School sporting events with professional tools and equipment; however, we have decided to improve and renew ourselves for the future.
Since our inception, other schools across the South and our lovely state have followed with their own media departments. Some have been more successful than others. Ashville, over that time, has become known for our high standard of media excellence. Other athletic departments have been successful as well, including Leeds High School, T.R. Miller High School, Mountain Brook High School, Madison Academy, and other larger institutions like Hoover and Bob Jones. These institutions have been there with us, Ashville Athletics, blazing a trail for low-budget, professional digital media services working to improve our respective athletic programs.
It may be hard for some to imagine that Ashville has been a pioneer in anything recently regarding technology and digital media, but Ashville Athletics and Ashville High School has been primed for this special opportunity to lead the state in digital media and athletic promotion. We have worked tirelessly over the past several months planning for our future as the competition becomes more intense and challenging.
To ensure that this ambitious future and the goals that we have set come true, we need your support and the support of this community to build a new media studio that can produce videos, websites, graphics, and live productions that not only benefit our athletics program but our schools as well.
We need your help, Ashville.
We are working with the Ashville Spirit Club to raise $20,000 to build a new, state-of-the-art media facility right here at AHS. The potential of such a facility is boundless. Imagine a reality in which you tune into this very website to watch live stats and live broadcasts of important sporting events at AHS. Graphics that rival those produced by Auburn or Alabama being used to promote events and athletes will push our program to the next level. We could be the envy of all our competition. Everyone would want to attend AHS and play for the Bulldogs. What makes it even more special is the possibility of endless student involvement.
Ashville has long been underestimated in its capacity, but we hope this can dispel those stereotypes. We want the community to be proud of what we do for our students and athletes, and it starts with this media center.
Over the next several months, the Ashville Spirit Club will be hosting several fundraising events whose profits go to benefit our media center. We hope you all can contribute.
Thank you for the amazing support so far; we hope to have an amazing 2017.
Go Bulldogs!
